Stack Consci — a conscious stack

Building with intention. Learning in public. Documenting the work in real time.

I'm Rahul Shukla — AI product builder and Chicago Booth MBA student. This site is a record of what I build and what I learn: projects, coursework, competitions, and the thinking that connects them. Not a finished portfolio. A work in progress.

Selected Projects

Serious builds, documented with context and tradeoffs.

Each case study focuses on the operating reality behind the work: the problem, the constraints, the system design, and what changed in how I think.

Building Medibill Copilot at Chicago Booth

What it looked like to build an evidence-first AI workflow in a domain where confidence without proof is a liability.

Six months in: what Chicago Booth is actually changing about how I think

Two quarters into Booth, the biggest changes are not on my resume. They are in how I prepare, how I choose, and how honestly I measure my own effort.

Why I care about building evidence-grounded AI systems

Grounding is not just a technical pattern. It is a stance on how AI should behave when people need to trust what it says.

Q1 at Booth: three competitions, three different lessons

Adobe case competition finalist who couldn't close. A hackathon win with two prizes out of five categories. A VCIC that didn't clear the first round. First quarter at Booth taught me more from the losses than the wins.

Current Focus

What I’m working on right now.

Chicago Booth is giving me a stronger operating language for ambiguity, incentives, markets, and decision-making. I’m using that in parallel with hands-on AI product work.

Building evidence-grounded AI workflows (Medibill Copilot) where trust is earned through architecture, not promised through UI.

Translating decision-making frameworks into product choices that hold up under real-world constraints.

Focusing on domains like healthcare, finance, and information systems where correctness and traceability matter.

Improving how I allocate effort — choosing fewer things, but doing them with full commitment.

Contact

Open to conversations where product, AI, and strategy have to meet reality.

I’m especially interested in thoughtful conversations around evidence-grounded AI, healthcare and finance workflows, operator-centric products, and ambitious teams.

If you're building something serious or want to compare notes on Booth, agentic systems, or product judgment, I'd love to hear from you.
